This month Odesa has been very active and vocal.  Her favorite new toys are her feet, she can grab them and put them in her mouth.  She puts everything in her mouth now that she can hold objects well.  She has also mastered rolling from her belly to her back.  Everyone says she is teething but we still haven't seen a tooth, hopefully soon because teething is rough.  Odesa really enjoys hanging out with her cousins, no matter how cranky she is they always make her smile.  She discovered TV & loves Baby Einstein movies and is now sleeping 8+ hours a night in the crib!  

Mommy's Staying Home

Its official, Mommy quit her job to stay home with Odesa.  Since mommy didnt have to go to work in the morning, Odie celebrated by partying all night long.

4th of July and the Jumperoo

Odesa missed the fireworks since they were past her bedtime but she still had a great 4th with her cousins.  She even dipped her toes in the pool.  Odesa's jumperoo finally came as well, thank you Aunt Mindy & Aunt Marsha!  We have been waiting for this ever since we saw Elina's.  She is a little short for it but still enjoys it.  

3 months

Odesa is so interactive these days.  She talks up a storm and doesn’t seem to mind that no one can understand her. She started laughing & screeching to let everyone know whose boss.

When Odie was 8 weeks old we had our good friend Scott Sporleder take some pics of her.  She wasn't in the best of moods but he was still able to get some great shots.

2 months

At 2 months Odesa is much more alert and actually spends some of the day awake & not eating.  She is awake about 6-7 hours a day and only naps in the sling or if I lay next to her.  By the end of the month Odesa gained 2 pounds and grew 2 inches in length.  She grew out of her newborn clothes & now has leg rolls!  She met her BFF Elina Garcia, hopefully Odie grows fast because Elina is 6 weeks older and has been working out!

1 Month

The first month flew by.  Odesa gained 2 pounds since birth and spends most of her time asleep.  If she's not asleep she is eating.  Who knew breast feeding would take so long!  Odie eats about 8 hours a day!  So far nursing has been hard but well worth it.  She has already met many family members & friends including all of her cousins, uncle Scott, aunt Lorie, aunt Melanie, both sets of grand parents, her great granny White & great aunt Nannie, Erin, Kelly, the Weinsteins, Fatima & Matt. 

Birth

So we planned on doing a blog from the start, but then Odesa came early and the blog was forgotten about.  But due to popular demand we are back on track!  I'll have to do some catch-up!

Odesa Rae Pearlman was born on Monday, March 30th.  She was born at South Coast Midwifery Birth Center in Irvine.  She arrived at 6pm and we were home with her by 9pm that same night.
